CATHEDRAL NOT A PLACE TO EAT PIES

Cathedral not a place to eat pies

I write in reply to Kevin Fletcher's article, ("Cathedral should not be market", Mailbox, February 23).

I went along at 2pm on the Saturday out of curiosity as I love vintage fairs.

There was a long queue but I went in anyway.

I wholeheartedly agree with Mr Fletcher. I too was upset, as people were eating pies and food in such a wonderful place.

I left after a few minutes. I had seen enough.
