At Evington Valley Primary School, Evington Valley Road, this afternoon for the scheduled meeting of Leicester SACRE (Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education).
Today we have a new feature of these regular meetings, in which members will take a quarter of an hour or so to present some basic information about their religion or belief for the benefit of the rest of the members. For a kick-off, Anne Fishenden, Vice Chair of SACRE, gives an introduction to Quaker history, beliefs and practices.
The main part of today's meeting is given over to hearing the request for a determination by our host today, Evington Valley Primary School.
I'm also able to get a few minutes at the end of the meeting to speak a little about Inter Faith Week.
