At Phoenix Square Film and Digital Media Centre this morning for the fortnightly gathering of CreativeCoffee Club - or the second hour of it anyway.
A quick headcount (borrowing the brain of Jayne Childs, Co-ordinator of these meetings) leads us to the conclusion that we have approximately one third regulars, one third newcomers and one third "irregular returners" - which sounds like something that should be said about a cricketer's run rate (that could be my first ever cricket-based joke, which is nice, because I know Jayne appreciates that sort of thing. Cricket, that is, not necessarily my jokes). This is fairly typical "churn" for any meeting of CreativeCoffee Club - but what becomes of that middle category, those who come only once? Where are they getting their informal networking fix, if not here?
