It's our first (and only?) planning meeting for the forthcoming National Inter Faith Week, at the end of November. There are nine of us gathered here in the Welcome Centre this afternoon: Daphne Beale (Faiths Forum for the East Midlands, Loughborough Council of Faiths); Gill Buttery (Leicester City of Sanctuary); Rachel Carmichael (Leicester City of Sanctuary, Religious Society of Friends); Amanda Fitton (Christian Aware); Janet Ingram (Leicester Diocese Education Officer); Resham Singh Sandhu (Interfaith Forum for Leicestershire, Leicester Council of Faiths, Sikh Cultural & Welfare Scoiety); Noel Singh (Leicestershire County Council); Mike Smith (Leicester Diocese) - and me.
We debrief on last year's inaugural week, discuss what worked then and what didn't work so well, talk about what we should try and improve on, repeat or forget for this year.
There were several planning meetings for the 2009 event. We think that this will be the only meeting of this kind we need hold this year.
