CHARGED FOR TEMPLE THEFT

Charged for temple theft
A man has appeared in court charged with burglary at a Hindu temple and other premises.
Peter Quinn (42), of no fixed address, was charged with burgling the Shree Hindu Temple, in St Barnabas Road, Leicester on April 17.
The alleged break-in was recorded on the temple's CCTV system. Quinn appeared at Leicester Magistrate's Court and remanded into custody.
As well as the temple, he has been charged with burglary at a community building in Uppingham Road on February 10, at a commercial  premises in King Street on February 1 and again on March 19, and premises in London Road, on April 13.
Further charges include an assault in Farringdon Street, on March 16 and theft from a home in that street, on March 17. He is due to appear at Hinckley Magistrates' Court via a video link on Monday.
